    How to upload a blogger template

Configuration

Configure the post’s date format

Change Date Header Format and Timestamp Format for your blog, see the picture below:

Configure post's date format

Configure lightbox and comment location

You must change the ‘Showcase images with Lightbox’ to ‘no’ (because I already installed a better lightbox module for this template. You don’t want blogger lightbox system messing with your blog, don’t you?) and ‘Comment Location’ to ‘Embedded’ (to make sure your post comments is showing accordingly). See the picture below if you’re not sure about what you are going to do…
Lastly, since this is a gallery template, I’ve set the layout to fit 3 posts per row. Therefore to make it proper, you must set at least 3 posts on the main page.

Configure the post date

Navigate to blog » Template » Edit HTML, and search for:
<!-- Start - Social Links -->
below it, you’ll see all the website links, change it to your social media page link.

Configure the navigation menu

Navigate to blog » Template » Edit HTML, and search for:
<!-- Start - Navigation Menu -->
Below it, you’ll see something like this:

<!-- Start - Navigation Menu  -->
<div class='nav'>
<ul class='menu' id='menu'>
<li><a expr:href='data:blog.homepageUrl'>home</a></li>
<li><a class='drop-ctg' href='#'>category</a>
   <ul>
     <li><a href='#'>Category 1</a></li>
     <li><a href='#'>Category 2</a></li>
     <li><a href='#'>Category 3</a></li>
     <li><a href='#'>Category 4</a></li>
   </ul>
</li>
<li><a href='#'>Menu 1</a></li>
<li><a href='#'>Menu 2</a></li>
<li><a href='#'>Menu 3</a></li>
<li><a href='#'>Menu 4</a></li>
</ul>
</div>
<!-- End - Navigation Menu  -->

all you have to do is just replace the # symbol with your menu item URL, don’t forget to change the menu name too! for example:

<!-- Start - Navigation Menu  -->
<div class='nav'>
<ul class='menu' id='menu'>
<li><a expr:href='data:blog.homepageUrl'>home</a></li>
<li><a class='drop-ctg' href='#'>Hot Topic</a>
   <ul>
     <li><a href='http://myawesomeblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Photography?max-results=6'>Photography</a></li>
     <li><a href='http://myawesomeblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Design?max-results=6'>Design</a></li>
   </ul>
</li>
<li><a href='http://myawesomeblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Music?max-results=6'>Music</a></li>
<li><a href='http://myawesomeblog.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html'>About Me</a></li>
</ul>
</div>
<!-- End - Navigation Menu  -->

Other important things

You MUST upload at least one picture for your post to Blogger server, do not hotlinking all the images from another server (i.e : imageshack, flickr, tinypic) because it will ruin the post’s thumbnail system (it will makes thumbnail for post won’t shows up).

Known Issues

  • if in your blog homepage the blog post not shown accordingly to your setting (sometimes it shows 5 posts, 4 posts or less) thats because of Blogger’s new smart technology called auto pagination. So this new technology imposes a limit of about 500kb that is displayed on any index or search result page in Blogger. Basically, yes you can specify the Maximum number of posts on the main page by going to Settings > Posts & Comments. However, as soon as your thumbnails and preview text exceeds the 500kb limit, all subsequent posts will be bumped to the next page. Sometimes only 4 will show up, sometimes 9… not way to tell. Then how do we prevent thumbnails and previews text from exceeding the 500kb limit? Easy! You just have to always insert jump break after the first image or a few sentences of your post. It will tells blogger to stop downloading the whole post which made your blog homepage exceeding the 500kb limit. This is how you create ‘After the jump’ summaries.

Happy blogging :D It would be very helpful for me if you keep the credit links in the footer intact :)
